Living Room acoustics: settle into the sound you love
Your favourite playlist. A film on the sofa. Conversations that last well into the evening. The living room is where everyday sounds become part of feeling at home.
Explore acoustic wall panels and ceiling rafts that help soften reverberation and complement your interior, making room for the moments you enjoy.
Let the conversation linger. Not the sound.
A living room should feel inviting when friends come over and comfortable when you settle in for a quiet evening. Yet hard floors, large windows and bare walls can leave the room sounding more echoey than you would like.
Acoustic wall panels and ceiling rafts help absorb sound reflections and reduce reverberation. Alongside your sofa, curtains and other furnishings, they contribute to a softer sound environment for conversation, music and everyday life.
Explore solutions that fit into the room you already enjoy – without a full renovation.
A place on the wall. Or above it all
An acoustic wall panel can sit alongside your favourite artwork, become a feature above the sofa or blend into the room’s colour palette. Silent Board and Silent Board Flex offer different shapes and expressions, bringing sound absorption into your interior.
In a spacious living room, the sofa and seating area may sit well away from the walls. Silent Cloud can be suspended above this area, introducing sound absorption overhead. It is also an option where windows, shelving or pictures leave little wall space available.

Frequently asked questions
-
Why are good acoustics important in a living room?
Good acoustics make it easier to enjoy conversations, music and television without excessive reverberation. When sound lingers in the room, voices and other sounds can overlap, making the space feel busy even during ordinary everyday activities.
Sound absorption helps create a more comfortable setting for relaxing and spending time together.
-
Will rugs and curtains be enough to improve my living room’s acoustics?
Rugs, curtains and upholstered furniture contribute sound absorption, but their effect depends on the materials and how much of the room they cover.
If the room still sounds echoey, acoustic wall panels or ceiling rafts can add further sound absorption.
-
Can I use a ceiling raft above a seating area away from the walls?
Yes. Silent Cloud can be suspended above a seating area, making it an option for larger living rooms where furniture sits away from the walls.
Check the product’s suspension requirements and allow for lighting and other ceiling installations.
-
Will acoustic panels stop sound travelling to other rooms?
Acoustic panels reduce sound reflections and reverberation within your living room. They do not in themselves soundproof it or prevent sound passing through walls, floors and doors.
If your main concern is sound travelling between rooms, sound insulation needs to be considered separately.
-
Which colours and finishes can I order online?
Depending on the product, standard webshop finishes include galvanised metal, black RAL 9005 and white RAL 9010. Each product page shows the available options.
For special colours or digital print on selected products, contact us before ordering.
-
How do I maintain my acoustic panels?
For everyday care, gently wipe the metal surface with a dry cloth to remove dust. Follow the care instructions for your product and finish, and contact us if you are unsure how to treat a mark or stain.
