DAMPA® Drift Panels Wins the iF Design Award 2026

We’re proud to share some exciting news: DAMPA® Drift Panels has been awarded the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026!

For us, this recognition means a lot. The iF DESIGN AWARD has celebrated outstanding design since 1954, and every year thousands of products are evaluated by an international jury of design experts. In 2026 alone, more than 10,000 entries from 68 countries were submitted.

When Imperfections Become Design

The idea behind DAMPA® Drift Panels started with the material itself.

Together with industrial designer Mikkel Huse and Aalborg University Design Lab, we explored how discarded ceiling tiles could become the starting point for a new architectural surface. Instead of hiding dents, scratches, and irregularities, the design embraces them as part of the expression.

Through a specially developed 3D pressing technique, the reused 60 × 60 cm tiles are shaped into flowing, organic structures inspired by patterns found in nature. The result is sculptural metal wall panels that create a subtle interplay of light and shadow across the surface.

Drift Panels is a project built on collaboration between design exploration and industrial production – showing how existing materials, when viewed from a different perspective, can evolve into something entirely new.

A Wall Panel That Adds Character to Spaces

Beyond the award itself, DAMPA® Drift Panels is ultimately about creating spaces that feel different. The organic forms of the panels bring a sense of movement to walls, making them suitable in a wide range of environments:
